I'm not quite sure how you achieved this effect and I'd love to know, but this is just an amazing photo. From the concept to the treatment, this just really has an abstract feel to it. It strikes me as odd but approachable. I feel like if I just keep staring at it, it'll reveal all its secrets to me. Nicely done
oh thank you so much. i am glad you like it. it is done using liquid emulsion / liquid light. you can buy it from silverprint. jessops used to do it but i think its quite hard to come by now. its basically a paint you use in the darkroom, put it on fabrics, glass, papers, blow dry it, do your test strips and its just like working with normal photo paper, but a bit more messy! i have done some massive prints using it too, it holds detail so well. totally try it if you can : )

As heavy lids and lashes part; white hair a blanket 'cross her heart
She's so far down, she lies so deep; dark is her passage up from sleep

I'm not a photographer really, I just look at the world through a camera lens. <3
Anyone can write,
but it takes a special person to reach
out and physically touch you with their words.
